I love you guys. I know everyone says it and it's really cheesy but I genuinely love logging onto my blog and seeing all your lovely comments and tweets; it completely brightens my day. Because Valentines Day is coming up and therefore 'tis the season to give back to those you love, I thought I would run a little mini giveaway to say thank you and to make you something cute.
If you win, you will receive this adorable cactus pin cushion (handmade by yours truly!) as well as a wheel of these absolutely heart-achingly cute heart pins. Sigh, I love Valentines day.
This giveaway is open to absolutely everyone all over the world.
This giveaway is a complete excuse to get to know some of you a little better! I know I have so many glorious readers who comment regularly and I appreciate you guys so much; but I also know there are hundreds of you who read along and I want to get to know you all! And so to enter (whether you are a talkative reader or not!) simply leave a comment below introducing yourself and some cool facts about you. If you have a twitter feel free to leave that too, I love connecting to my readers! If you'd like to follow along then feel free to on bloglovin or something similar.
Lastly, this competition closes on 14th February at Midday.
I cannot wait to meet you all!
Oh gosh, I found a pattern for a similar cactus pin cushion in one of my grandma's vintage magazines and I have been postponing this project for so long now! I'm gonna be lazy and enter your giveaway (and postpone it some more time...)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, my name is Irena and I live in teeny tiny Belgium. I have an obsession with mittens and adopting stray plants. Although I don't adopt cactuses because I enjoy giving them water way too much.... I really like crafting (I made my first dress last week!) but my main goal in life is to become a kick ass astronomer!
I hope my English is not too bad :)

Hi, I'm Jodie :) I live in Inverness and work in a Library. I absolutely LOVE fancy dress and I was the person who asked you about making crows! I ended up making them by glueing feathers to halloween bats i found in poundland and then making beaks and eyes. It was odd! Here is a photo http://jodwai.tumblr.com/post/66083375953/my-halloween-costume-this-year-i-dressed-as-tippi
ReplyDeleteI've been doing the 5:2 fast diet for about 4 weeks! My favourite fast meal is shakshuka.
Happy blogging!
Jodie
That is super cute!
ReplyDeleteA few facts? I have an Associates degree in theatre, I just learned how to knit, and I'm a stay-at-home mom :)
Aw it's adorable! My name is Natalie, I live in England, I just finished my degree in French and started my first proper adult job this week! :) I love fashion and have attempted to make myself a dress twice now, both times ending in disaster. I am hoping this year to get better at making clothes and finally get around to learning to knit! My twitter is @somenatchick

That cactus is super cute!
ReplyDeleteI'm Jen and I'm Canadian. I backpacked a bit of the UK after high school and LOVED IT (and really want to go back and live there for a couple years). I recently finished University. I love to do all sorts of papercraft and am useless behind a sewing machine (I need to learn!). I have a little Etsy shop where I sell papercut greeting cards and art (inpaperdreams.com). :)
I really like following your blog!
Hello! I am Quynh.
ReplyDeleteI suppose I first ought to tell you the absolute basics. I am 14-a freshman in high school, I live just outside of San Francisco and my name is Vietnamese-for I am half asian- and pronounced like Quinn.
And then on to the good stuff right? I work in a knitting store, teaching kids and stocking yarn (and being the self-appointed mascot, for I am in there excessively). I have a great interest in typography and am the most outlandish dresser I know. But that's due to fashion being my greatest interest. Since age 8, I have been a super crafter and am constantly working on things relative to that. I just finished some precollege courses at the Academy of Art University, and for some reason insist on drafting all of my own sewing patterns. I am utterly terrible at French, though I somehow managed to skip a year of it. And lastly, food is of great importance to me. I mean, my friend and I make whole day plans for when we venture out to the city specifically for certain sought out items of food.
Your blog is fantastic and a great inspiration! I hope to eventually get around to making mine be somewhat as magical as yours.

Hello,
ReplyDeleteMy name's Jenny & I live in Derbyshire. I'm a Complementary therapist & teach baby massage, which is so rewarding. Last year I was seriously unwell & unable to do all the active sports I love ( Rock climbing, cycling & running) So I taught myself to crochet & made myself a dress from an original 60's pattern. I love reading your blog. It reminds me of visiting my brother in Edinburgh when he lived there.

Plus Edinburgh is one of my favourite places that always feels like home whenever I visit, so I love hearing about it and seeing the pictures.
ReplyDeleteMy name's Ruth. I collect and play with Lego and Playmobil, and generally still love toys despite being 25. I work in campaigning for free speech on the Internet and things like that so if you follow me on twitter expect a mix of stuff on toys and digital rights. I also love fantasy, comic books and Magic the Gathering. And fashion. I'm currently taking classes in life drawing and japanese, but not at the same time.

ReplyDeleteAbout me: I live in the Netherlands but have lived in several countries over the years. I play a little ukulele too, which is why I adore your cute ukulele designs so much. I love coffee and chocolate, folded 1000 origami cranes once, love to paint and have so many dreams I am working on making true.

Hello! I love your blog, you inspire me. :) I am Grace and I am a sixteen year old girl living in Kansas City, America. I play piano, cello, and ukulele and I am involved in many activities, including orchestra and a community service club. I am also very involved at church and I love baking. I have two sisters that are a lot like me. We also have foster kids occasionally. Everybody who meets me notices how much I laugh. I am very silly! :) My favorite school subjects are Spanish and Math. When I am older I want to start a nonprofit tutoring center with art and music therapy in a poorer Hispanic neighborhood near me where the school system isn't very good. I am planning on being an au pair in Spain in a few years, once or twice and maybe doing missionary work in Mexico, as well as going to college.
ReplyDeleteMy twitter is: @ladd_grace
by the way, I don't want the pin cushion because I can't sew, although I really wish I could! I would rather that someone else who sews got it. :) It's adorable though! But I have always admired you and your blog, so I thought that it would be fun to let you know a little about me! :) I learned about your blog through Studio DIY.
Hello!
ReplyDeleteThat cactus is adorable.
Hmm, some facts about me... My name is Marielle, and I'm from Oregon. I love cooking and anything miniature, and I especially love anything that combines those two things--one time I made pies that were the size of quarters. My favorite thing to do on the Internet is read blogs, and although I dream of keeping one, I don't have one yet. The biggest reason I want a blog is to have a way to connect with the blogging community, but I'm not sure what to start posting about! I adore cats and rabbits, and once I get my own house, I'll definitely have one or the other, or maybe both. I'm studying at a university but I don't know what I want to major in yet. I love all sorts of different crafts, but I'm particularly fond of knitting, quilling, and hand lettering.
Your blog is such an inspiration! Keep up the wonderful work :)
Hello! I rarely comment on blogs, but your pin cushion is adorable and I'd love a chance to win it! I'm currently living and working in South Korea, but am finishing my contract in 2 weeks time and will be back in England by early March. I've been following your blog for a good few months now (I had been looking for British blogs that I enjoyed, and yours was one of the first I found!). I've just started one of my own, because my bff who I came to Korea with has recently left, and she was doing the blogging for the both of us! I love reading your posts and now appreciate how much hard work it is! xxx

My heart lies with my blog, Chai Lion, and I try to post as much as possible, even though school consumes most of my time.

Well that cactus is the cutest thing I ever did see! Facts about me, hmm...
